About Me

My skills as a therapist draw on several theoretical approaches: an original training in Integrative Psychosynthesis Counselling with both the Institute of Psychosynthesis and the Communication and Counselling Foundation in London; trainings in James Bugental's Existential Humanistic psychotherapy, and in Psychodynamic psychotherapy with an inner London mental health service. More recently I have studied the work of C.G.Jung, the analytical psychologist, and have been influenced by his ideas and concepts.

In addition to being in private practice since 1992, I have worked both as a student counsellor in university settings and as a telephone helpline counsellor. I have worked in mental health services for 12 years, taught counselling skills and theory for 5 years at Crawley College and have been a trustee of the Psychosynthesis and Education Trust in London for 3 years.

I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) registered psychotherapist and a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered practitioner, working in line with the ethical codes and best practice of these organisations.
